Following up on his last release,A.G. E. Mixtape, Will Tesla is back and brings you Ghost in the MPC Vol. 1. Brooklynite, Will Tesla kept that same nostalgic feel and deliver a project that is sure to lure fans in and have them finding for more. Songs like “Aimless” and the single “Regrets” are guaranteed to have you paying attention to him and following his independent career.
Being that New York is the Mecca of Hip Hop, Will Tesla has a lot of expectations and this project is a clear statement that he can exceed them and more. Tesla gives a vivid picture of life through his eyes and perspective on life with “Tell Me Why“. This song shows Tesla is not afraid to release whatever emotion he’s feeling or thinking. A lot of artists choose to be politically correct and won’t touch the topics that directly effect their fanbase. “Here’s Johnny” and “They Wanna Know” are a great examples of Tesla’s creativity and prowess on the microphone.
Will Tesla definitely caught me off-guard with “Blackout.” The gritty beat assets a different tone for the second half of the album. Hearing Tesla go for broke on this classic beat from Method Man and Redman is absolutely amazing. Definitely a track to listen to in the car at max. “All The Above” closes the album out. Tesla rides the beat and sends his fans off craving more explaining why he does what does and why he does it so well.
